Wastewater Treatment Engineer

Location: Marietta, GA

We are currently seeking an Environmental Engineer - Municipal Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Marietta, GA.

We are searching for dedicated, innovative, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about solving water-related challenges and finding sustainable solutions. In collaboration with our experienced Water Professionals, you will contribute to the development of projects, engage with clients, and enhance your technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in producing accurate, clear, and compliant CAD deliverables and drawings for projects, following industry, national, and project/client standards.
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and manage projects related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance.
  • Complete design calculations, develop engineering plans and specifications, and provide construction administration support.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, project staff, manufacturers, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle.
  • Support engineering services during construction, such as observing construction progress, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to inquiries.
  • Prepare Operation and Maintenance (O&M) reports.
  • Create presentations, estimate costs, and participate in client meetings.
  • Successfully complete assigned work within specified budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in preparing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) reports.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new projects and challenges.
  • Reliable and willing to take ownership of tasks.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to Municipal water/wastewater/stormwater.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or consulting.
  • Ability to take ownership of delegated tasks and ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
  • Experience in Municipal wastewater, facility infrastructure design, and other Municipal planning, design, and construction engineering activities.
