We are seeking an ideal candidate with at least 2 years of estimating experience in civil construction, with a focus on heavy civil projects such as site work, utilities, drainage systems, and roads.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but will consider candidates with Associates or partial degrees and relevant experience.

· Experience in estimating site works for general contractors, including grading, utilities, and other aspects of site development projects.

· Ability to estimate projects ranging from 500K to 10 million dollars, including self-performed work and labor, equipment, and material costs.

· Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases, including the ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings, and detailed final contract estimates.

·Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and incorporate cost analysis into estimates.

·Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify constructability issues, value-engineering alternatives, and work effectively as part of a team.

·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.

·Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe, as well as experience with takeoff/modeling software such as Agtek, Trimble Business Centre, Carlson, or Cad.

·Experience with estimation software Bid2Win (B2W) Heavy Bid (HCSS) or similar preferred.

·Travel within SC, NC, and GA may be required.
