Facilities Supervisor

Lead Facility Operations in a Manufacturing Environment

We are seeking a proactive Facilities Supervisor to oversee maintenance, infrastructure improvements, and facility upkeep at our metal fabrication plant. This role requires expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to effectively manage a maintenance team and ensure efficient facility operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee facility operations - Manage all aspects of building maintenance, ensuring efficient functioning of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire safety, and electrical systems
  • Lead a maintenance team - Supervise a group responsible for general repairs, landscaping, snow removal, and facility upkeep
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot - Identify potential facility issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies proactively
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships - Oversee external maintenance providers, ensuring timely repairs, system upgrades, and cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations - Maintain adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other industry safety standards
  • Control facility maintenance budgets - Track costs, manage expenses, and optimize operational efficiency
  • Promote a culture of safety and teamwork - Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to enhance facility maintenance practices

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience - AAS degree in Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, or related field preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in facilities management within an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Technical Expertise - Strong background in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance
  • Certification Requirement - HVAC certification is required, with proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems
  • Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to supervise teams, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure smooth facility operations
