Semiconductor Field Technician
Our client is a leading provider of digital imaging solutions for consumers, businesses, and industries in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean markets.
We are currently seeking a Semiconductor Field Technician for our Semiconductor business in Utica, NY. This is a full-time position and requires the technician to report to an assigned worksite in Central New York, five days a week. The technician must also reside in close proximity to Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process equipment while minimizing equipment downtime. If necessary, escalate advanced repairs to senior level technicians.
- Monitor, inspect, and maintain semiconductor equipment to prevent and minimize malfunctions.
- Keep accurate documentation of maintenance activities and provide periodic reports.
- Monitor stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure sufficient inventory for repair work.
- Train and assist technicians, and potentially provide basic instruction to customers.
- Participate in ongoing technical training to enhance expertise.
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree or equivalent is required, although a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of related work experience in electromechanical field service engineering or technician positions in a semiconductor equipment company or technical positions in the engineering field. Litho experience is preferred, and experience with high precision equipment is considered helpful.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and compressed workweeks.
- This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must comply with company safety guidelines and policies.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually. Assistance may be available for lifting over 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, type, grasp, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs or ladders as required.
- Ability to work in time-sensitive situations with quick resolution.
This position is full-time with benefits and pays an hourly rate between $27.88 and $41.75, with overtime opportunities available.
