Overview of the Field Service Coordinator Role: Join our team as a Field Service Coordinator in Omaha, Nebraska. As a key member of the Field Service Team, you will play a crucial role in various day-to-day tasks. These include estimating small service jobs, maintaining communication with customers regarding quotations and orders, collaborating with the outside sales force on customer needs, processing purchase orders, job sheets, and customer invoices promptly, coordinating with Field Service Technicians, customers, and sub-contractors on service job logistics and schedules, and successfully managing short-term projects to completion. You will work closely with the Service Business Specialist and Field Service Manager to support both current operations and future growth.
Requirements for the Field Service Coordinator Position:
o Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience.
o Previous experience in construction or general contracting is a plus.
o Familiarity with estimating or bidding is advantageous
o Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Industry knowledge in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, with field and office experience.
o Background in bidding, quoting, problem-solving, parts ordering, and customer service.
o Experience deploying field service technicians.
o Ability to interpret blueprints.
o Strong mathematical skills for discounts, percentages, proportions, and currency conversion.
o Analytical and presentation skills with a focus on customer interaction.
Responsibilities of the Field Service Coordinator:
o Provide support for service activities throughout the Americas.
o Handle customer inquiries, price and availability requests, and update on quotes, orders, and shipments.
o Communicate with customers to determine service requirements and provide technical documentation as needed.
o Generate quotes and technical documents for customers, following up on active quotations and collaborating with sales teams for optimal outcomes.
o Maintain accurate customer records in Navpoint and build product knowledge.
o Record details of service projects and sales orders and coordinate with various teams for scheduling and completion.
o Conduct outbound calls and emails for follow-ups, lead generation, and business development.
o Limited travel required, occasional trade show support, customer visits, or field knowledge improvement trips.
o Hybrid work model after initial training, with the ability to work from home two days a week.
