Field Service Supervisor Job Summary: The Field Service Supervisor is a vital member of the Field Service Team and plays a key role in handling various daily tasks. This includes estimating small service jobs, following up with customers on active quotations and orders, coordinating with the outside sales force regarding customer requests, processing timely purchase orders, job sheets, and customer invoices, and liaising with Field Service Technicians, customers, and sub-contractors to ensure efficient logistics and schedule management for service jobs. Additionally, the Field Service Supervisor manages short-term projects to successful completion and collaborates closely with the Service Business Specialist and Field Service Manager to support current and long-term growth.
Field Service Supervisor Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent education and experience.
- Construction or general contractor experience is advantageous.
- Direct experience in estimating or bidding for such work is also beneficial.
- Proficient typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with a minimum accuracy of 90%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Industry background in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, with experience in both field and office environments.
- Experience in bidding, quoting, problem-solving, parts ordering, and customer service.
- Familiarity with field service technician deployment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills including discounts, percentages, proportions, and currency conversion.
- Ability to read and analyze business information.
- Effective presentation and customer service interaction skills.

Field Service Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support for service business and opportunities across the Americas.
- Handle day-to-day customer requests, including price and availability inquiries, and communicate the status of quotes, orders, and shipments.
- Collaborate with customers via phone and email to determine product or project specifications related to service capabilities.
- Generate quotes and provide technical documents to customers as required.
- Regularly follow up on active quotations and collaborate with outside sales, Market Development Managers, or others to optimize chances of securing business.
- Maintain accurate and complete customer records in Navpoint throughout and after customer interactions.
- Develop a basic understanding of products and the applications in which they are used.
- Record details of pending, active, and completed service projects and sales orders.
- Coordinate with the Field Service Group, Sales, and customers to schedule and complete service jobs.
- Conduct outbound calls and emails to follow up, qualify leads, prospect, and engage in other business development activities as assigned.
- Travel requirements are infrequent, but occasional travel to support trade shows or visit customer facilities or job sites may be necessary for customer support, knowledge enhancement, or market insights.
- After initial training, this position allows for hybrid work with the ability to work from home two days a week.
