Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary of the On-Site Technician: We are seeking a self-directed On-Site Technician who can confidently interact with customers, write technical reports, and provide product improvement recommendations to the Engineering team of the Product Development Group. The On-Site Technician is responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Technician:

  • 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time, including domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Knowledge of PLC’s highly preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must not be afraid of heights

· Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) experience are highly preferred.

· Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport (with proper documentation to travel into and outside of the United States)

Responsibilities of the On-Site Technician:

· Frequent interaction with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors

· Support in scheduling and coordinating site visits for final equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning

· Coordinate internally to provide timely responses to customer inquiries

· Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely

· Repair on-site equipment at customer facilities, both warranty and non-warranty claims

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

· Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstration

· Support project team in clearing punch list items and meeting project requirements

· Participate in project and construction meetings

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

· Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for customers

· Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
