Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year (plus bonus)

Job Summary of the On-Site Equipment Specialist: We are seeking a self-motivated On-Site Equipment Specialist who excels in customer interactions, possesses strong technical writing skills, and can provide feedback to the Product Development Group for product enhancements. The On-Site Equipment Specialist will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Equipment Specialist:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a field service role with decision-making authority
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Strong knowledge of PLC’s (preferred)
  • Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms highly desired.

· Must currently possess or be capable of obtaining a valid passport for international travel

Responsibilities of the On-Site Equipment Specialist:

· Regularly interact with customers, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating the participation of stakeholders for equipment installation and commissioning.

· Coordinate internally to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries.

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely.

· Repair equipment at customer facilities, handling both warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in various disciplines, maintaining quality standards and accurate reporting.

· Travel to customer sites, perform final commissioning, and demonstrate equipment functionality according to specifications for customer acceptance.

· Support project team in clearing punch list items and meeting project requirements.

· Participate in project and construction meetings as required.

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Act as trouble-shooter, analyzing and resolving technical issues on-site, and providing post-installation technical support.

· Independently coordinate all details of site visits with customers prior to departure.

· Independently handle travel arrangements (airfare, lodging, ground transportation, etc.).

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities.
