Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus bonus

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-directed Field Service Engineer who excels in customer interactions, possesses strong technical writing skills, and can provide valuable input for product improvement. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the independent assembly, commissioning, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of systems, both within the United States and internationally.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Knowledge of PLCs is highly preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Prior experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly preferred.

· Must currently possess or be able to obtain a valid passport for international travel


- Regularly interact with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors

- Assist in scheduling and coordinating the participation of involved parties during equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning activities

- Coordinate internally to ensure timely response to customer inquiries

- Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely

- Perform repairs on equipment installed at customer facilities, including warranty and non-warranty claims

- Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

- Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, and produce high-quality reports

- Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functions to obtain customer acceptance

- Support the project team in clearing and signing off on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items

- Attend project and construction meetings as required

- Deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

- Act as a trouble-shooter, analyzing and eliminating faults on-site and providing technical support to customers

- Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

- Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering during testing and field service activities
