Salary: $65-75K plus bonus


Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a self-directed Mobile Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, technical writing abilities, and the ability to provide product improvement recommendations. As a Mobile Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the assembly, commissioning, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of systems both domestically and internationally.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Knowledge of PLCs is highly preferred
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clean driving record
  • No fear of heights

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers, vendors, and contractors
  • Schedule and coordinate participation of vested parties for equipment installation and start-up activities
  • Coordinate internally to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and other automated equipment onsite and remotely
  • Repair equipment at customer facilities (warranty and non-warranty claims)
  • Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
  • Implement pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines
  • Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstration
  • Support project team to clear punch list items and meet project requirements
  • Participate in project and construction meetings as required
  • Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
  • Respond to on-site technical issues and provide troubleshooting support
  • Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements
  • Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
