Field Technician

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Title: Field Technician - Raleigh, NC

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year (plus bonus)

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-directed Field Technician to provide exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to write technical reports, and collaborate with our Engineering team to improve our products. The Field Technician will be responsible for assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Technician role with decision-making responsibility
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical field
  • Willingness to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, test reports, and other technical documentation
  • Knowledge of PLC’s is highly preferred
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights

Required experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly preferred.

Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport

Responsibilities:

· Interface with customers, vendors, and contractors

· Schedule and coordinate participation of vested parties for equipment installation and start-up

· Timely response to customer inquiries

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment

· Perform warranty and non-warranty repairs at customer facilities

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

· Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and customer acceptance

· Support project team in clearing punch list items

· Participate in project and construction meetings

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

· On-site troubleshooting and fault elimination

· Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

· Provide direct technical support to customers and contractors
