You require -
- Occasional overnight stays but you may be asked to visit a client on short notice if their equipment is down and affecting their production
- Understanding of electrical components, ability to read schematics, and basic troubleshooting skills
- Capability to install software and perform basic configuration, including confirming IP addresses for remote equipment diagnosis
- Familiarity with PLC controllers and Camera Inspection equipment, no need to know how to program them, just a basic understanding of their function in equipment
- Confidence to make decisions in front of clients to resolve problems and get equipment back on track
The role involves providing service over the phone, email, and in person to clients with equipment under service contract.
You will need to diagnose, repair, and document equipment repairs. You should be able to remain calm under pressure, work independently, and be resourceful in troubleshooting and repairs on site. You may also have to train clients, move, install, and repair equipment, as well as educate operators on basic use and maintenance.
Extensive training on their product and processes is provided after a period of time in the field and gaining basic knowledge. Final training will require time at headquarters. The equipment is electro mechanical printing equipment used for producing commercial grade quality and quantities.

The Field Service Tech role in the area has a high density of equipment, resulting in mostly windshield time and being home almost every evening.
The company covers all expenses while on the road at client locations and offers generous time off and comp time. You will be scheduled to visit key client locations and meet with clients who have equipment issues that could not be resolved remotely or over the phone with tech support.
All travel arrangements are made for you through their travel service and directly billed to the company when possible. Additionally, you will be provided with a company credit card for gas and expenses during travel.
