Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus bonus

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-directed On-Site Support Engineer who excels in customer interactions, possesses technical writing skills, and can make recommendations for product improvement to the Engineering team. This position involves independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Highly preferred knowledge of PLCs
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) experience highly preferred.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and necessary documentation for international travel.


· Regularly communicate with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors.

· Schedule and coordinate the participation of vested parties to inspect and witness equipment installations and assist with start-up and commissioning activities.

· Coordinate internally to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries.

· Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely.

· Repair on-site equipment at customer facilities, including warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Take ownership of pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, ensuring quality work and accurate reporting.

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning, demonstrating equipment functions as per specifications to obtain customer acceptance.

· Support the project team in clearing and signing off mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items according to project requirements.

· Attend project and construction meetings as necessary.

· Prepare and deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Serve as trouble-shooter, analyzing and resolving technical issues on-site and providing ongoing support to customers.

· Independently coordinate details of site visits with customers and/or end-users.

· Arrange all necessary travel arrangements (airfare, lodging, transportation).

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities.
