Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Field Service Technician who is an independent problem solver with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will also have strong technical writing abilities and the capability to provide recommendations for product improvement to our Engineering team. This role will involve assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical field
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time, including domestic and international travel
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Knowledge of PLC's preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be comfortable working at heights

· Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms highly preferred.

· Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport (with proper documentation to travel into and outside of the United States)

Responsibilities:

· Interact regularly with customers, vendors, and contractors

· Schedule and coordinate the participation of relevant parties during equipment installation and start-up

· Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely

· Perform inspections of existing system installations

· Ensure proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities and produce high-quality reports

· Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functions

· Assist in clearing and signing off mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items

· Attend project and construction meetings as required

· Provide technical training to end-users and maintenance personnel

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site

· Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
