Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary of the On-Site Technical Support Engineer: We are seeking an On-Site Technical Support Engineer who is self-directed, comfortable interacting directly with customers, capable of producing technical reports, and able to offer product improvement recommendations to the Product Development Group. The On-Site Technical Support Engineer will independently handle system assembly, commissioning, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting responsibilities both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications of the On-Site Technical Support Engineer:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibility
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time (both domestic and international)
  • Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) highly preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record required
  • Comfortable working at heights

· Experience with PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is essential. Knowledge of platforms such as Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC is highly desirable.

· Must currently possess or be able to obtain a valid passport with proper documentation for international travel

Responsibilities of the On-Site Technical Support Engineer:

· Regularly interact with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating the involvement of necessary parties for equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning

· Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries by coordinating internally

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely

· Perform on-site warranty and non-warranty repairs at customer facilities

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

· Ensure accurate implementation of pre-commissioning activities and generate high-quality reports

· Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functions

· Support the project team in clearing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items

· Participate in project and construction meetings as needed

· Deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

· Provide on-site troubleshooting support and address technical queries for customers

· Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering teams for testing and field service
