A growing company in Morgantown, WV is in search of a skilled and meticulous Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team. As a crucial member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial statements and creating reports that drive strategic decisions. The position will be based at our Morgantown, WV location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements following US GAAP guidelines.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
• Analyze financial data to identify patterns and variances, generating detailed variance reports.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements with the external audit team.
• Aid in the development of forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive general ledger records.
• Efficiently research and resolve accounting issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay informed about current industry practices and trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2+ years of financial reporting experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, including professionalism when dealing with employees, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Capable of performing light physical tasks, such as occasional exertion of up to 15 pounds of force, and undertaking repetitive activities requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
