A progressive organization is seeking a talented and meticulous Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the examination of financial statements and compile reports that drive strategic business decisions. This position is based in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Aid in the completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify patterns and discrepancies, producing comprehensive variance reports.
• Coordinate financial statement preparation with the external audit team.
• Assist in the development of accurate forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain precise and detailed general ledger records.
• Efficiently research and resolve accounting issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have at least 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Show flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Display excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, interacting professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Must be capable of performing light physical tasks, including exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and completing repetitive activities requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
