A growing company is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the team. In this critical role, you will assist in the analysis of financial data and compile reports that impact business decisions. This position is located in Morgantown, WV.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist in the closing processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Analyze financial information to identify patterns and variances, creating detailed reports on discrepancies.
• Coordinate financial report generation with external auditors.
• Support the creation of forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records in the general ledger.
• Efficiently research and resolve accounting issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Must be able to perform light physical tasks, such as exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and completing repetitive activities requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
