Northeast Foodservice Distributor Sales Manager

Position: Sales Manager - Northeast Foodservice Distributor

Location: Boston, MA (Remote in the Northeast NY/NJ/PA/MA area, close to a major airport)

We are a distributor specializing in premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through distributors to foodservice, hospitality, food manufacturers, and consumers.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee sales operations in the Northeast territory.

- Manage and build relationships with current and potential food distributors in the region.

- Supervise a team of Sales Reps.

- Identify revenue-generating opportunities with distributor accounts.

- Develop new business by identifying and engaging with new distributors using various resources such as sales reporting, online research, event leads, and Salesforce.

- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to review monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, as well as budget input for the territory.

- Ensure effective communication and operational support within the region.

- Manage regional manufacturer leads and contribute to their development.

- Travel approximately 50% of the time, with convenient access to airports.

Qualifications:

- Ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS degree.

- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the foodservice distribution industry.

- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

- Strong sales and account management skills.

- Excellent negotiation and organizational abilities, with strong time and project management skills.

- Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within approved budgets.

- Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce.com or similar).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base salary of $80K with a 20% bi-annual bonus.
