Northeast Foodservice Distribution Sales Manager
Location: New York, NY (Northeast NY / NJ / PA / MA)
We are a distributor specializing in premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through foodservice distributors to various industries including hospitality, food manufacturers, and consumers.
Responsibilities:
Manage sales activities in the Northeast territory.
Oversee existing food distributors in the territory and actively seek out new partnerships.
Supervise a team of 1 Sales Representative.
Identify opportunities to generate revenue with distributor accounts. Explore new business opportunities by conducting sales reporting, online research, attending events, and utilizing other available resources. Use Salesforce to document all customer interactions.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to review and analyze region sales on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Provide input for the annual budget. Develop communication strategies to address operational support needs. Foster relationships with regional manufacturers.
Approximately 50% travel required. Easy access to major airports.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS degree.
At least 2 years of sales experience in the foodservice distribution industry.
Previous supervisory experience (at least 1 year).
Strong sales and account management skills.
Excellent negotiation skills, with a strong ability to organize and manage time and projects effectively.
Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within approved budgets.
Experience working with CRM software, such as Salesforce.com or a comparable system.
Proficiency in MS Suite.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $80,000 + 20% bi-annual bonus
