What we're seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of experience in fundraising and in the nonprofit sector.
- Professional Foundation/Development credentialing is preferred.
Hours and compensation:
- Full-time position.
- Compensation ranges between $61K and $89K, along with comprehensive benefits and relocation/sign-on bonus.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement The Medical Center's Foundation activities, including planning and execution.
- Lead efforts to raise philanthropic resources that align with the medical center's mission and vision.
- Act as a liaison between the Foundation Board and the medical center's Administration to ensure successful fundraising.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff in the department. Supervise daily department workflow and provide timely performance evaluations.
- Establish and execute a comprehensive resource development plan, incorporating annual fund, planned giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, special projects, corporate and foundation solicitations, and related events.
- Represent the facility at special community functions with regards to fundraising.
- Take charge of one-on-one solicitation of major gifts.
- Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures, alongside annual reviews.
- Set and monitor annual department goals.
- Manage department finances, including budget development, investment policy, and monthly financial reports.
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with hospital staff, Foundation Board, Hospital Board, medical staff, senior leadership, and the community.
- Act as a public advocate for the facility by communicating significant public foundation developments to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing education and guidance to the Foundation Board and its committees.
- Strategize all foundation internal and external events.
- Contribute to the overall concept and messaging of the Foundation's marketing collateral and communication channels.
- Oversee the organization of fundraising projects and donor recognition programs, including constituent relationship management and proper stewardship of gifts.
- Continuously seize grant funding opportunities.
- Stay updated with best practices in fundraising and development.
