Job Title: Electrical Technician
Location: Las Vegas, NV
INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (NO RESIDENTIAL OR CONSTRUCTION)
Primary Function:
The Electrical Technician is accountable for the maintenance, adjustment, testing, and installation of electrical equipment and circuits, ensuring their efficiency and safety.
Tools & Equipment:
Utilizes hand tools, power tools, testing devices, motor/controller equipment, pipe threaders, and safety gear.
Materials:
Works with electrical components such as wires, insulation, lubricants, coolants, solder, tape, conduit, fittings, switches, and relays.
Source of Supervision:
Reports to Shift Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interprets prints, diagrams, and instructions for maintenance tasks.
- Performs electrical maintenance activities including testing, installation, repair, and cleaning of equipment.
- Installs, repairs, and services motors, motor controllers, and circuits.
- Provides equipment condition reports to supervision as required.
- Works on live electrical lines when necessary.
- Installs electrical components such as conduit, fittings, switches, and connections.
- Adheres to safety protocols and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electrical issues effectively.
- Performs emergency repairs to minimize downtimes quickly.
- Operates in both workshop and field environments as needed.
- Maintains accurate work records in a log format.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized.
- May be reassigned to Electrical Technician tasks from other roles when required.
