Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Salary: $155,000-190,000 per year + Bonus + Paid Relocation
Job Description:
We are seeking a Global Trade Compliance Officer to join our team and oversee all trade compliance matters within our Broadband Communications Systems Sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing trade compliance policies and procedures. You will supervise and coordinate the activities of our trade compliance team and work closely with other directorates to ensure compliant business solutions. This position reports directly to the Global Trade Compliance Segment Director of Communication Systems and will require on-site work at our Salt Lake City, UT location.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise sector trade compliance teams
- Communicate trade requirements and status updates to division leadership
- Implement corporate trade compliance policies and procedures
- Develop effective trade compliance requirements across the sector and act as Empowered Official
- Prepare, review, and manage export authorizations and records
- Support and maintain a collaborative and positive culture within the BCS sector
- Work directly with leadership from various departments to ensure trade compliance strategy is integrated into business pursuits
- Ensure timely and compliant reporting of any violations of trade laws/regulations
- Support compliance visits and audits
- Travel domestically up to 20%
- Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior export/import trade compliance experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a high-performing team
- Minimum 5 years of experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Minimum 5 experience with U.S. trade sanctions program including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to interpret U.S. trade laws/regulations and assess risk management aspects
- Experience with OCR EASE
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous military operational and/or policy experience
- Technical background
- Background in the Foreign Military Sales program
- Team player, proactive, self-motivated, highly organized, ability to handle shifting priorities
- Strong people leadership skills
- Effective and professional communication at all levels of the organization
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
