RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Superintendent, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, including managing field personnel and subcontractors. Your aim is to complete the project on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also ensure compliance with safety regulations for all on-site operations, maintain the job site office, and handle project closure.

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Ensure all field operations are conducted as planned, maintaining client satisfaction
  • Create and manage construction schedules and address any issues
  • Order necessary materials and schedule inspections throughout the project
  • Understand project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Prepare daily and safety reports, schedules, and finalize punch lists
  • Promote job site safety and rectify hazards
  • Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including storm-water compliance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization on the job site and in the construction office
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings involving all trades
  • Review job cost reporting and assist Project Manager in budget control
  • Evaluate subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to the Project Manager
  • Develop staging plans and manage site logistics
  • Work with the Project Manager to schedule pre-construction meetings
  • Review and provide feedback on submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Ensure high-quality work from crafts, suppliers, employees, and contractors


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction
  • Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production across all construction phases
  • Familiarity with Precast and tilt construction methods
  • Willingness to travel within the state
