Hospice Administrator

Location: Petersburg, WV
We are looking for a Hospice Administrator for our location in Petersburg, WV.

Responsibilities of the Administrator include:

  • Effectively managing office operations.
  • Planning and organizing tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid issues.
  • Hiring qualified individuals for all staff positions and taking responsibility for daily agency operations.
  • Being available during business hours (or having an alternate designee) and readily accessible by phone when conducting agency business off-site, with availability after hours as needed.
  • Providing oversight for hospice operations to ensure agency success.
  • Offering support and coaching to the hospice team.
  • Interviewing and selecting potential employees.
  • Ensuring all hospice policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicating with patients, patient family members, and physicians regarding patient care.
  • Monitoring hospice census and staffing trends.
  • Maintaining departmental budget and financials.
  • Overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.

- Hold an active in-state RN license.
- Preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
- Have at least five years of experience in a leadership role.
- Possess hospice and leadership experience.
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen, including experience with profit and loss statements.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to motivate and lead a team to achieve organizational goals.
