Job Summary of the Human Resources Specialist: The Human Resources Specialist is accountable for providing HR assistance to the manufacturing facility in areas such as recruitment, workers compensation, time and attendance, and employee relations. This position will work closely with the corporate HR team and local plant leaders.
Qualifications of Human Resources Specialist:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of human resources experience.
• HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
• ADP, KRONOS, ATS experience preferred.
• PHR, SHRM-CP certification is an added benefit.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist:
• Stay updated on advancements in the HR field.
• Generate HR metrics, reports, and other documents as necessary.
• Aid in maintaining all personnel records in accordance with EEO, privacy, and related regulations.
• Assist in regulatory compliance including posting required notifications, generating relevant documentation, and managing employee files.
• Provide advice to employees and leadership regarding policy administration and interpretation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organization design efforts.
• Ensure discreet and sensitive handling of all confidential personnel matters.
• Assist with updating and organizing job descriptions.
• Conduct job interviews (phone screenings and in-person).
• Conduct new hire orientations and handle all new hire paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I‐9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically conduct audits.
• Oversee the annual performance review process.
• Support the Plant Manager with staff development, succession planning, and talent management strategies.
• Administer benefits meetings for open enrollment and new hires.
• Manage terminations and facilitate the exit interview process.
• Assist in the development of office and field employee communications.
• Aid in the development and planning of employee activities/parties.
• Assist the EHS team in planning and logistics for Safety Committee meetings and periodic safety meetings.
