HR Generalist - Evening Shift
Location: Spring Grove, IL
The HR business partner role is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HR business partner assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating them proactively with the HR department and business management. They seek to develop integrated solutions and partnerships across the company to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a full scope of human resource services, including recruitment, employee development, employee relations, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, reward and recognition, and performance management
- Consult with managers on human resource-related issues and be the primary HR contact for all HR needs
- Review and make recommendations for job descriptions and resolve employee issues
- Screen and interview applicants, develop recruitment strategies, and build positive relationships with outside resources
- Assist with new hire onboarding and perform HR administration tasks
- Conduct thorough investigations, provide coaching and mentoring for performance management, and represent the company in unemployment and EEOC hearings
- Contribute to and complete special projects and actively participate in the HR community
- Perform other assigned duties and projects based on organizational needs, skill set, and interest
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience required, with a Master's degree preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Certification (preferred):
- SHRM Certified Professionals (SHRM-CP)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) from HR Certification Institute
- Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HR Certification Institute
