Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is fundamental to our HR operations and involves various responsibilities such as benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The successful candidate will work closely with senior HR management to enhance our workforce and achieve departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all departments to support employee relations and provide necessary counseling.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including conducting interviews and assisting in the development of job-specific interview questions.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare research and statistical data to inform policy and procedural implementation.
- Handle employee complaints, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Contribute to the development and revision of personnel policies and the maintenance of the employee handbook.
- Participate in setting department goals and recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Support internal employee investigations alongside the HR Manager.
- Maintain records in the human resource information system.
- Assist in designing and delivering employee training and development programs.
- Provide daily support for benefits administration and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Engage in safety and wellness initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
- Attend administrative meetings and relevant seminars to stay informed on HR best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar HR role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently on diverse projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
