Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Newton, IA

Salary: $90,000-$115,000

Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing staffing, turnover, quality, training and development, and safety initiatives that align with key performance indicators. This role administers and coordinates all human resource functions of the plant and collaborates closely with the Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develops and implements various human resource plans for facility personnel.

- Plans, organizes, and supervises the activities of the Human Resource department.

- Provides leadership, direction, training, and guidance to associates.

- Implements and updates compensation programs, job descriptions, and salary surveys.

- Develops and implements personnel policies and procedures.

- Oversees benefits administration.

- Develops and maintains affirmative action program.

- Assists in recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt personnel.

- Maintains department records, organizational charts, and employee directory.

- Promotes positive employee relations and provides guidance to plant leaders.

- Delegates work to Human Resource staff and ensures productivity and efficiency.

- Participates in special department projects as assigned.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.

- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

- Strong leadership or management background in Human Resources.

- Manufacturing environment experience required.

- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical, and problem solving skills.

- Strong team skills, including coaching and training of personnel.

- Ability to motivate others and resolve conflict.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
