Heating and Cooling Systems Engineer

About the Position:

We are in search of a talented Heating and Cooling Systems Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC system design and innovation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge thermal solutions that improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption. This role requires a strong knowledge of industry standards and a dedication to advancing the next generation of HVAC technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced simulation tools to design HVAC systems and optimize component integration.
  • Validate HVAC systems and equipment through comparison of simulation results with commissioning data.
  • Collaborate with various teams and external partners to introduce new products to the market.
  • Lead ongoing improvements in HVAC technology to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
  • Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, AHRI, and UL Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the development of HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in advanced simulation tools like the Oak Ridge Labs Heat Pump Design Model (HPDM).
  • Strong grasp of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics.
  • Experience in creating control algorithms and collaborating with OEMs/ODMs.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience with high-efficiency heat pump systems and advanced HVAC components.
  • Previous work with a top HVAC system manufacturer would be beneficial.
