Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Hartford, CT

Our client is in search of a skilled and meticulous HVAC Technician to join their team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Effectively install, service, and repair a variety of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, coil cleaning, and system inspections.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs:
  • Identify and fix mechanical and electrical problems in HVAC systems.
  • Conduct system tests and adjust controls to ensure optimal performance.
• System Upgrades:
  • Suggest system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions to clients.
  • Install and configure modern HVAC technologies, including smart thermostats.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during installations and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Customer Interaction:
  • Effectively communicate with clients, explaining issues, solutions, and maintenance tips.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, utilized parts, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and submit service reports and invoices as required.

Qualifications:

• Education and Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of HVAC technology certification or equivalent training.
  • Mandatory EPA Section 608 certification.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Prior experience with residential and commercial systems is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to effectively and safely use tools and equipment.

  • Physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions.
