HVAC TECHNICIAN

Our client is the largest and most comprehensive HVAC and Plumbing Design-Build contractor in Utah. With their consistent workload and forecast of even more high-profile opportunities, we are seeking technicians to join their service team!

With 300 employees performing the design, fabrication, installation, and service of HVAC, plumbing, process piping and building automation systems, they are the leader in our markets.

Their Service Department is seeking Journeyman and Apprentice service technicians to join our team of 60+ technicians. You will have the opportunity to work and learn within a team structure to enhance your technical and customer service skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and comprehending system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine the configuration of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Utilizing a variety of hand tools to repair units.
  • Identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing systems and products at customer locations.
  • Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as required by customers.
  • Preparing for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a graduate of a certified technical school with at least 5 years of experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
