Senior Instrument and Electrical Designer

We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our team at our Sugar Land, TX office.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design for Oil and Gas Refineries and Chemical Plants. Proficiency in 2D AUTOCAD, EXCEL – MicroStation, CADWORX, BlueBeam, ACCESS is desired.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adhere to all client and Company Safety Policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability in design, time management, coordination of design teams, quality control, and providing technical direction.
  • Proficiency in detail design technical knowledge including P&ID review, interlock schematics/motor schematics revision, wiring diagram creation, loop diagram demonstration, and I/O loading. Experience in creating Junction Boxes, Marshalling Panels, and DCS/PLC Cabinets with BOM.
  • Capability in creating Instrument Installation Details and generating supporting material take-offs for estimates. Ability to create conduit and cable tray drawings, including support details and sizing calculations based on applicable codes and client standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical low voltage applications, such as power supply to instruments, instrument power panels, and grounding/bonding per NEC standards.
  • Proven experience in field surveying and hot/cold cutover planning/execution. Self-motivated with excellent client interface skills and ability to take accountability for work product deliverables with limited direction.
  • Fiber experience and general knowledge required.
