Machine Maintenance Technician

$41.60 / hr + $3,000 Sign-On Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of machinery by performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols and performance standards.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as obtaining permits, ordering parts, and documenting work orders.
Qualifications:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada for the company.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  • Hold an Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License)
  • Physically able to perform job duties, including bending, lifting loads of at least 50lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders, and operating valves.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexible availability for overtime, including holidays, nights, weekends, or changing shifts with advance notice.
Preferred:
  • Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and loud noise. Adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Knowledge of basic food safety practices.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging.
  • Familiarity with CFIA requirements for food manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a production-related role.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet or higher).
  • Capable of operating machinery and industrial equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ideal Candidate
  • Required to possess an Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Industrial Millwright Certificate (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as an Industrial Millwright.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Physically capable of performing job duties, such as bending, lifting loads of at least 50lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders, and operating valves.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Flexible availability for overtime, including holidays, nights, weekends, or changing shifts with advance notice.
