IT Manager

Location: Coraopolis, PA

Our client is a renowned manufacturer of Hydrocarbon Resins with a rich history of 90 years in the industry. They prioritize building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, and shareholders. Although they operate as a chemical company, they value their people above all else!

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at our Coraopolis, PA location. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in working with IBM iSeries or IBM System i and have a strong background in managing complex IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and systems by implementing best practices and security measures to prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies and make recommendations for adoption or implementation.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure IT solutions and systems meet business needs and objectives.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive IT experience leading up to IT leadership roles, with a successful track record in managing complex IT projects and teams.
  • Extensive experience with IBM iSeries or IBM System i, including programming, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of these systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, cloud computing, and security best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience in administering an ERP system.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry is a plus.
