Job Title: IT Manager – Oracle Systems
Location: Oak Brook, IL (Onsite)
Summary
A reputable food manufacturing company is in search of a skilled IT Manager – Oracle Systems to fill a crucial role following the planned retirement of a long-standing leader. This position involves overseeing Oracle EBS and related systems that support finance, supply chain, and operations. As the manager, you will lead a team of business analysts while remaining actively involved with key system functions. This is a visible position with influence over executive leadership, providing long-term stability and impact. Only candidates who are local to Oak Brook, IL will be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle EBS and other core enterprise systems
- Lead Oracle system upgrades, patching, integrations, and regression testing
- Translate business needs into system configurations, enhancements, or customizations
- Ensure SOX compliance through effective role management, segregation of duties, and audit readiness
- Oversee a team of five business analysts, providing mentorship and guidance
- Act as a liaison with finance, supply chain, and operations to improve process alignment and data visibility
- Troubleshoot ERP issues and ensure the rapid resolution of technical problems
- Enhance reporting and financial tools, including Hyperion and other platforms
- Collaborate with vendors for system support, performance management, licensing, and new tools
- Contribute to strategic planning and system modernization initiatives
Requirements
- BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing or supporting Oracle EBS within a manufacturing environment
- In-depth understanding of SOX compliance and public company audit requirements
- Experience working with finance and supply chain systems
- Proficiency in SQL for data troubleshooting and reporting
- Hands-on experience with Hyperion and other financial reporting tools
- Strong leadership skills, including team management or mentorship experience
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Demandtra
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 integrations
- Background in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG)
