Workplace Legal Counsel

Job Description
- Represent employers in a variety of employment litigation cases, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, wage disputes, and compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and memoranda
- Conduct thorough legal research and oversee discovery processes
- Handle depositions and interview witnesses
- Advise employers on employment law compliance, including regulations related to ADA, FMLA, CFRA, COVID, disability accommodations, and leave policies
- Potential involvement in labor relations activities such as negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in employment litigation
- In-depth knowledge of California employment law
- Experience in legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing discovery processes
- Preference for trial or arbitration experience
- Ability to provide expert advice on federal and state labor laws
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Must be admitted to the California Bar
