Land Surveyor - Registered Land Surveyor - Griffin, GA
We are in search of a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team at our Griffin, GA office.
The ideal candidate should possess experience working on projects related to industrial, commercial, and site development. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in fostering a team-based culture, communicating effectively with team members, nurturing relationships with clients and contractors, managing the surveying department, supporting the engineering department, and facilitating the development of team members. Your responsibilities will include directing the survey team, scheduling survey crews, hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members to successfully complete requested surveys.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to accurately describe and assume liability for work performed.
- Verify survey data accuracy, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites for the preparation of easements.
- Conduct surveys or provide guidance to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles.
- Record survey results, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
- Calculate characteristics of terrain such as heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and more.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of all necessary data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
Requirements:
- Must be a GA Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD or Survey Software.
- At least 4 years of general land surveying experience.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent capability in managing and scheduling all surveying related tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Surveyor License (Required)
