HVAC Systems Engineer

Licensed HVAC Systems Engineer (PE or DE required)

  • A valid Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) or Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems (DE) license is a mandatory requirement, in addition to a minimum of four years of experience in designing HVAC systems for large commercial buildings

This is a full-time opportunity for a Licensed HVAC Systems Engineer to join a growing company specializing in designing, building, and servicing commercial HVAC systems. The company has an excellent reputation in the industry and is expanding its workforce to meet the continuous demand. With a diverse clientele spanning various industries, the workload remains stable and engaging, allowing employees to work on challenging projects of varying nature. Internal growth opportunities exist, including the potential to lead the design division within the next five years, subject to qualifications and interest.

The work schedule offers flexibility, with an expectation of 50 hours per week. Engineers will have the opportunity to witness the manufacturing and installation of the systems they design, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the process. This role may evolve into a division management position after four to five years. The key responsibilities and duties of the successful candidate encompass:

  • Creating designs for large-scale commercial HVAC systems, utilizing Revit or CAD software
  • Overseeing HVAC projects from inception to completion
  • Assessing building load requirements
  • Developing installation plans
  • Coordinating HVAC equipment selection
  • Determining appropriate system sizing
  • Managing permit applications
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) license or Wisconsin Designer of Engineering Systems license
  • A minimum of four years of experience in designing HVAC systems for large commercial buildings
  • A strong passion for engineering
  • A solid work history demonstrating commitment and expertise
  • Ability to reside within a 45-minute commute
