Legal Case Assistant

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Note: This position is for a Legal Case Assistant in Los Angeles, CA. It is full-time (40 hours per week) and requires on-site presence five days a week at either the Los Angeles or San Diego office. After 3 months, a hybrid schedule with up to two remote days is available.

Note: Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience. If this requirement is not met, scheduled calls will be canceled.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys in civil litigation matters
  • Draft, edit, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage deadlines in compliance with court rules
  • File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
  • Coordinate attorney schedules, travel, and expenses
  • Work independently on multiple cases efficiently
  • Maintain professionalism and attention to detail in a fast-paced legal environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures, including e-filing
  • Proficient in manual calendaring without software
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with complex legal documents and preparation of TOAs/TOCs
  • Familiarity with legal systems such as iManage, Westlaw, PACER, and Coyote Analytics
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
