Maintenance Manager



Major Duties & Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee the maintenance team and manage the upkeep and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
• Responsible for coordinating and supervising contractors.
• Develop proposals for plant contracted work and participate in negotiations for terms and conditions.
• Manage OEM bulletins and technical information.
• Maintain accurate and organized plant inventory.
• Ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts for gas and steam turbines, including tracking and repair of capital spares.
• Coordinate Maintenance Department activities with Operations Manager to ensure efficient execution.
• Coordinate, perform, and document preventive maintenance activities according to regulations.
• Maintain equipment in excellent operating condition as per OEM recommendations.
• Facilitate and coordinate analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Comply with Company's Management of Change (MOC) program.
• Promote and enforce plant and company safety procedures and policies, participate in safety meetings and training.
• Lead in the planning and execution of plant capital improvement projects.
• Maintain fiscal discipline and assist in planning and managing the maintenance budget.
• Comply with Process Safety Management and participate in the Risk Management Program team.
• Participate in the Asset Management program.
• Plan and schedule preventative and corrective work using plant scheduling software.
• Manage the site CMMS program to schedule work, maintain inventory, and procure parts.
• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the maintenance team.
• Report abnormal or emergency plant conditions to the Plant Manager and Operations Manager.
• Manage the maintenance staff and overtime hours effectively.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Education/Experience Required


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience.
• Ten or more years of industrial experience in maintenance, management or supervision, with planning skills required.
• Two or more years of CMMS responsibility.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background.
• Knowledge of and willingness to continue to acquire understanding of environmental and safety rules and regulations.
• Good self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-reliance.
• Leadership skills demonstrated by strong interpersonal communication and persuasion abilities.
• Excellent administrative, management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer hardware and software for internal and external communication.
