Maintenance Supervisor (3rd Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate maintenance work orders and effectively oversee a team of 5-10 maintenance personnel to ensure the proper functioning of plant processes, equipment, and facilities.
  • With a collaborative approach, this role will work across shifts and departments (Production, Utilities, Planning, Safety) to ensure consistent yields, minimize downtime, and enforce HACCP, USDA, and food safety protocols.
  • Supervise Maintenance Techs and apprentices, tracking the completion of work orders, planned repairs/projects, and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage scheduling, time and attendance, provide performance feedback, and follow-up to optimize job performance.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot major maintenance projects with the Maintenance team, plant engineers, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensure prompt and effective response to line breakdowns.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in an Industrial Mechanics/related position OR an Industrial Mechanics' degree/equivalent technical diploma and 1 year of plant maintenance experience.
  • One year in a leadership and/or project management role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to remain composed and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety (SQF).
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check is required.
