Our company, a major player in the manufacturing industry with a dominant market share and a positive work environment, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the day shift. This role will primarily focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, and valves. The position is located in Griffin, GA, a southwest suburban area of Atlanta. As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will involve the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of equipment and site property, as well as making adjustments and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs to machines and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities are essential job functions:

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in valves, specifically involving hydraulics and pneumatics. This experience is crucial for the maintenance of our die cast production equipment.

Level I

  1. Pneumatics: Utilize principles of compressed air and work with pneumatics.
  2. Hydraulics: Identify basic hydraulic circuit components based on principles of hydraulics.
  3. Plumbing: Understand pipe and fitting schedule ratings, identify common plumbing fittings, and complete plumbing orders by name.
  4. Electrical: Install 120 and 480 volt circuits and perform other electrical tasks, including AC and DC power.

Level II (includes Level I responsibilities):

  1. Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics.
  2. Explain the transmission of force and energy in hydraulic circuits.
  3. Perform plumbing tasks including layout, installation of various types of plumbing systems, and interpreting isometric drawings.
  4. Perform electrical tasks including reading and writing electrical schematics, troubleshooting PLC systems, and installing and troubleshooting electric motors and AC/DC drives. Also, use electrical test equipment for voltage, current, ohm, and meggar testing.
  5. Perform welding tasks including arc welding, mig welding, plasma cutting, and oxy-fuel cutting.

Level III (includes Level I & II responsibilities):

  1. Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
  2. Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing various hydraulic components, such as valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls, and more. Identify different types of hydraulic pumps
  3. Utilize knowledge of all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  1. Level I: High school diploma or equivalent, along with one to two years of related experience and/or training.
  2. Level II: High school diploma or equivalent, along with two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  3. Level III: Technical training certificates or Associates Degree, along with six to eight years of related experience and/or training.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence.
  5. Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and solve problems.
  6. Ability to analyze and collect data to establish facts.
