Mechanical Equipment Repair Technicians

Location: Atlanta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY:

A well-established company in Atlanta, GA with a dominant market position in the manufacturing industry is seeking 2 Maintenance Technicians (one for the day shift and one for the second shift). The primary focus of these positions will be on hydraulics, pneumatics, and valves. The day shift role is from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime paid at time and a half. The second shift position offers an additional $1.00 per hour. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (All duties and responsibilities listed below are essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with "May.")

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience and expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, particularly in troubleshooting, replacing, and rebuilding valves. The role will involve working with die cast production equipment.

Level I

  1. Work with pneumatics and compressed air systems.
  2. Identify basic components used in hydraulic circuits.
  3. Understand different types of plumbing fittings and complete plumbing orders.
  4. Install and work with electrical circuits.

Level II (Includes Level I responsibilities)

  1. Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics.
  2. Explain the transmission of force and energy in hydraulic circuits.
  3. Perform advanced plumbing tasks and interpret isometric drawings.
  4. Install and troubleshoot electric motors, AC/DC drives, and PLC systems.
  5. Perform various types of welding.

Level III (Includes Level I & II responsibilities)

  1. Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
  2. Troubleshoot complex hydraulic circuits.
  3. Utilize fabrication equipment for maintenance tasks.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  1. Level I - High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience or training.

  1. Level II - High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of related experience or training.

  1. Level III - Technical training certificates or Associates Degree with 6-8 years of related experience or training.

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence.

  1. Proficient in mathematical calculations.

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The employee must have the ability to use hands, walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl. The employee should also be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
