Family Birthing Unit Manager

What We're Looking For:
- Must be a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas or eligible for licensure
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- 5+ years of recent experience in the field of nursing, specifically in LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum)
- 3+ years of nursing management experience
- Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE
Hours and Compensation:
- Full-time position
- Salary range: $36/hr - $50/hr, based on years of experience

Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate operations in the Family Birth Suites
- Provide nursing services to women before, during, and after pregnancy
- Work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of care
- Select, schedule, and assign staff, adjusting hours and shifts as needed
- Coordinate orientation and training for new staff
- Evaluate patient care, staff relations, and service efficiency
- Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies, goals, and objectives
- Participate in infection control, utilization review, and quality assessment activities
- Enforce department and institution policies and ensure cleanliness
- Handle complaints and resolve issues
- Arrange and organize department schedules
- Conduct research to improve service delivery
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate changes and updates
- Assist with State and Federal surveys
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Participate in hospital committees

This facility is an acute care hospital with less than 50 beds, and it operates as a non-profit organization. The current manager will be retiring in the spring. The position will oversee a team of 10 individuals (9 full-time employees) and manage 6 Family Birthing Suites. The facility averages 220 births per year.
