Director of Revenue Operations

Location: Beachwood, OH


Position is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations in Beachwood, OH. This role involves overseeing various aspects of revenue cycle service delivery including process, policy, performance, compliance, and quality. The key responsibilities include managing revenue cycle staff, talent acquisition and development, maintaining productivity and quality, ensuring compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The Director of Revenue Operations will contribute to divisional and organizational strategy and positively impact company culture and performance.


  • Oversee billing, payment posting, charge entry, credentialing, and coding staff
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and manage performance of direct reports
  • Maintain operational discipline and improve work efficiency and effectiveness
  • Utilize data and metrics to identify performance opportunities and measure team and individual performance
  • Ensure compliance with process, policy, and applicable regulations
  • Manage RCM client onboarding and lifecycle processes
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and business plans
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, peer leaders, and staff
  • Provide progress updates and reports to key stakeholders
  • Promote MMG capabilities and cross-selling of services
  • Adapt the business unit structure to meet organizational strategies
  • Lead and influence beyond the reporting structure
  • Ensure exceptional client service and experiences
  • Exhibit leadership, problem-solving, and resilience to develop a culture of trust and accountability
  • Maintain professional affiliations and stay updated on healthcare industry trends
  • Perform other assigned duties


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare industry, with at least 5 years in revenue cycle leadership roles
  • Minimum 10 years in operations management
  • Experience in budgeting and managing P&L
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and manage talent
  • Experience in physician office billing and exposure to inpatient setting preferred
  • Familiarity with multiple medical group practice management platforms desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle functions and technology platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of performance measures
  • Experience in leading change and process improvement
  • Competency in automation to improve efficiency
  • Ability to interface with clients
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Experience with multifaceted implementation projects
  • Ability to create and execute plans
  • Capability to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
