Manufacturing Automation Supervisor

  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience in automation programming are essential

  • Associate’s degree in electromechanical or automation engineering technology (or related field) is mandatory; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • The annual salary for this position is $125,000 for highly qualified candidates

This full-time and permanent role as a Manufacturing Automation Supervisor is with a reputable and well-established commercial product manufacturer. The key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Supervising Automation Technicians and Programmers, assigning tasks, providing mentorship, and ensuring proper training and skill development
  • Overseeing control system design, PLC/HMI programming, panel builds, machine wiring, and system commissioning, while ensuring compliance with safety and electrical codes
  • Independently managing multiple automation projects, troubleshooting complex electrical and hydraulic issues, and ensuring seamless system integration
  • Collaborating with customers on project scope, providing technical support and training, and traveling for site visits, retrofits, and commissioning
  • Enforcing safety standards, approving designs, overseeing part procurement, conducting quality audits, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and performance reviews

It is essential that interested candidates possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of practical experience in automation programming
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience in an automation or controls-related role
  • A.S. degree in electromechanical or automation engineering technology (or related field) is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Demonstrate a stable work history
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder
  • Must reside within a 45-minute commute
