Salary: $70-85K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Manufacturing Engineer: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components. This role involves creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will document, design, and enhance the manufacturing processes needed to produce existing and future product designs.

Job Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and part designs using CAD software (OnShape, Solidworks, etc).
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and other technical documentation to produce accurate and precise drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for mechanical design and drafting.
  • Convert conceptual models into practical, functional, and manufacturable product drawings.
  • Attend and manage design reviews to identify and resolve potential issues related to manufacturability, assembly, and performance.
  • Thoroughly document existing manufacturing processes, including workflow, equipment used, and time cycles.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Design and establish new manufacturing processes for upcoming products, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Maintain processes, forms, and documentation as required by ISO 9000.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement, as well as other relevant stakeholders.
  • Apply lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Educate and involve employees in continuous improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of ongoing development.
  • Lead trainings to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions collaboratively.

Education & Experience of the Manufacturing Engineer:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.

· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment working with assembly processes, automation, and 3D printing.

· Experience with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
