Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of MES Manager. As the MES Manager, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing management of our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) platform. This critical role will require deep knowledge and expertise in MES technologies, as well as the ability to drive system adoption and best practices throughout the organization. You will serve as a crucial link between production floor operations, technical development teams, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert on the MES platform, offering valuable insights and guidance to optimize its utilization.
  • Engage with plant personnel to gather requirements, identify challenges, and explore opportunities for system enhancement and training.
  • Create comprehensive training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of the MES system.
  • Manage the rollout of new features, coordinating efforts with both corporate and plant teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Align user requests with organizational goals, prioritizing improvements and feature enhancements accordingly.
  • Monitor system updates, promptly communicating changes and improvements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate and test new functionalities, ensuring a unified user experience across the system.
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to corporate and plant management on leveraging system capabilities to drive process and productivity enhancements.
  • Mentor manufacturing managers and leaders in the adoption of new technologies to foster continuous development.
  • Occasional travel to company facilities required, estimated at approximately 15-20% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems is essential for this position.
  • Knowledge of ISA88 batch processing, OEE concepts, SPC control, databases, and reporting systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for collaborative teamwork across diverse teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, focusing on continuous improvement, maintenance, operations, or engineering.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Ignition by Inductive Automation MES is beneficial. Prior experience with MES products from Aveva, Rockwell, or another SCADA vendor is also a plus.
