Position: Manufacturing - Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Danville, VA
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Danville, VA. As a medium size business in the area, we provide innovative manufacturing solutions and are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure the quality, accuracy, and precision of our metrology services, processes, and record keeping.
In this role, you will support onsite internal and partner manufacturing initiatives, focusing on compliance and reporting to maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include physical measuring and scanning, data capturing, government compliance, and reporting. You will also collect and analyze data related to quality inspection processes, calibration compliance, and documentation, and provide actionable insights to optimize machining, additive, and/or metrology processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and analyze data related to quality inspection processes, calibration compliance, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to optimize machining, additive, and or metrology processes
- Maintain all processes and procedures defined within the Quality Management System
- Perform quality checks on manufactured parts to ensure compliance with defined standards
- Generate QA reports highlighting any deviations and recommending corrective actions
- Assist in the development of best Quality practices, ensuring that all products meet or exceed specifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with advanced metrology equipment
- Have been actively involved in ISO processes/procedures, in a manufacturing setting
- Worked with CNC machining processes and quality control methodologies
