Plating Operations Supervisor

Location: Carrollton, GA


We are an established company dominating the U.S. market in our manufacturing sector. Located in the southwest suburbs of Atlanta, we are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor or a Manufacturing Manager for our Plating department. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the plating department, ensuring safety, production, and quality standards are met. You will also be responsible for production planning and scheduling. This is a day shift position with some variability in hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")

  1. Coordinate daily scheduling and optimize personnel allocation.
  2. Ensure proper controls are implemented for the plating chemical process.
  3. Identify and implement corrective actions for process optimization.
  4. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers in electroplating, rack stripping, finishing, and inspection.
  5. Maintain knowledge of production plating processes, procedures, and their control.
  6. Implement corrective actions for plating process improvement.
  7. Coordinate all continuous improvement projects.
  8. Support maintenance of quality system requirements.
  9. Ensure plating personnel receive necessary training, work instructions, and control plans.
  10. Perform and supervise preventative or predictive maintenance activities.
  11. Ensure lab personnel are trained in current analytical techniques and procedures.

  1. A bachelor's degree in a chemical-related field is preferred.
  2. At least 2 years of plating-related supervision experience in a manufacturing environment for the Manufacturing Supervisor role.
  3. At least 2 years of managerial experience with plating in a manufacturing environment for the Manufacturing Manager role.
