Contract Duration: 12 Months
Pay rate: $25-35/hr W2, potentially higher for the right candidate

13091 Schedule: 4x10 (Monday-Thursday)
13098 Schedule: 3/10 (Friday-Sunday, 2nd Shift 3pm-1:30am)
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize MasterCam for lathe programming and lathe machine set-up
  • Fabricate shims and bushings
The CNC Milling Operator will set up and operate milling machines (plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical) to perform various machining operations. These operations include compound angle and contour machining, boring compound angular holes, helical and spiral milling, serrating, and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to precise tolerances. They will select, mount, and align specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan the sequence of operations, determine the required number of cuts, and set up the machine accordingly. Interpretation of blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications is necessary. They will also use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments, perform standard shop computations, and measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on stock for machining. Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures may be required.
This position requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. All-around machinists and operators who do not perform their own setups or determine the sequence of operations are not included in this role.
